This undergraduate organic chemistry laboratory experiment provides an introduction to various spectroscopic techniques, such as 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and IR spectroscopy, in addition to mass spectrometry.

Nickel-Catalyzed Suzuki–Miyaura Coupling

With generous support from the American Chemical Society's Green Chemistry Institute Pharmaceutical Roundtable, we developed this undergraduate chemistry laboratory experiment  that provides an opportunity for students to learn about cross-coupling reactions, non-precious metal catalysis, green chemistry, and heterocyclic compounds.

Amide Bond Breaking

In this undergraduate organic chemistry laboratory experiment, students learn to break amide C–N bonds using nickel-catalyzed cross-coupling chemistry.
